I don't like credit cards at all esp. with the telephone calls and shenanigans they've pulled in the past. My gas cards been the least problematic except for Chevron. They can also barely speak english.
Okay then, the pen fed credit card with fuel rebate sounds good to me as long as they don't mind me traveling in states out west.Heck Chevron wouldn't let me go past just one tank of fuel and here they could see a history of regular visits to those same stations along the way twice a year. They turkeys as far as I'm concerned. Always have cash for back up so no big deal really.
We've had the Pen Fed card for about 15 years. We've traveled all over the country, sometimes flying then renting and NEVER have had an issue with the PenFed card, All that is usually needed is putting the zip code in after inserting the card. (except in oregon w/o any self serve, zip code isn't needed). I've filled in montana jumped on plane and later in the day filled in Oregon and the card didn't reject. I think with the gas card they expect you to use it traveling.
