Any good fuel companies for a good fuel card for travel?

Chevron says I'm 'time honored member' since 1977, but traveling out of state and using the card only once they shut the card down. Then trying to call them to find out why the embarassment at the pum...

I don’t see a need to have a brand specific CC, we use AMEX for day to day and pay off at the end of billing period. Always had great service with them, always had my back.
Don’t use debit cards for reasons mentioned before.
The big plus with AMEX is no set spending limit great emergency card.
