Something that doesn't get mentioned too often with the BlueOx is that the hitch head has a fixed tilt built into it. This fixed hitch head angle is set at nearly the same angle as a standard WD hitch with all the adjustment washers added or the hitch head tilt set to max.
What this does is allow the WD bars to get more leverage (mechanical advantage) and really project that weight forward. This forced hitch head angle goes a long way to getting the WD hitch (IMHO) properly set up. And since we all have done a home work we know that a properly set up WD hitch is KEY to a solid towing experience .... NOT the sway control....the set up.
My opinion, based on my understanding of the Blue Ox, is that the hitch lends itself to being properly set up, and the hitch Significantly limits the chain movement at the snap up bracket... Both factors that lead to a reduced or sway free experience.
When I set up a standard WD hitch I start at max head tilt...just makes the WD better....again...JMHO.
Thanks
