I have an "N" scale layout that is 2 feet by 4 feet.
It is inside a glass toped enclosure that serves as our dinette table top.
Good idea! Any pictures?
Here are Dog Folk's pictures of his model train setup as his dinette in his camper: - Dog_FolksExplorerSure, post the pictures. Thanks much.

Glad too, but putting pictures on this site is just too cumbersome.
PM me with you e-mail and I will send them.
Dog Folks, do you want me to post your pictures here? - rbturnerExplorerI have always had this idea of making some kind of slide out tray thing that was contained inside a sheet metal box, that was mounted in front of the axles. Like a 4'x 8' layout. It could only be about 6-8" tall though. Probably a dumb idea.
fireman; I too, have taken some projects with me and have always had a couple of people walk over to where I was working and tell me about their trains etc.
Tom; I will look up that layout by John Allen. Thanks for the tip.
tesetsaf; That is a cool idea. I normally play with Ho scale but I have accumulated a fair amount of N scale over the years. Maybe I can use it all in the trailer some way. - Dog_FolksExplorer

- noe-placeExplorerIn my new garage(next to the MH) I built a layout for my grandson and me. Measuring 24' long by 4' wide it displays all the trains and accessories I've collected over 40 years.
- fireman93514ExplorerAt 7x14 ft the layout is too big to take but I would take some small building project on the road.A small N scale might be feasible however.
