Any one flat towing a Ford Fiesta?

We towed a Ford Focus with the same running gear as a Fiesta for several years. We just put a battery disconnect switch on the negative post and powered the lights and supplemental brake from the car battery after it was disconnected from the chassis. Easy to do and is the safe way to do it. You do NOT want any part of the original wiring possibly being activated. Use diodes in the rear wiring as well to prevent back feeding voltage into the car chassis.

Don't know about the Fiesta but I tow the Ford Focus which I think is very similar and have been towing it for nearly three years now with no issue. Just as mentioned with the Fiesta the battery must be disconnected after placing transmission in neutral. The Ford dealership mechanic said that was necessary because it would be possible for the transmission to shift if the battery cable is not disconnected thereby causing problem with transmission.

When we had our dp motor home I pulled a five speed Fiesta with no problems what so ever. The auto's did have some issues but were more related to operator error in not disconnecting the battery after the display showed "ready for towing". All the ones I saw that were messed up the computer had slipped the transmission back into regular mode.
On the manual all you have to do is put it in neutral and go. I used the ready brute elite tow system on mine.
