Anyone in getting ready for an early trip?

For us that have been snowed in all winter anyone trying to get ready for an early trip? I am going to Jekylle Island at the end of March and have a hole list of things to do to get ready but the cold and snow has put a damper on getting things done. Normally I am all about the snow as I love to snowmobile but even I am ready for spring. :)
  • In less time than I am comfortable with, we will be departing for a rally in Texas. What worries me right now is the large lump of ice and snow that is right at my barn door. I won't have room to run at it and if the coach won't climb over it, that will be unhandy.

  • I don't know if May 1 is early to many, but looking at all the snow on the ground here I suspect its going to be early enough.

  • Mothers' Day Weekend - Salt Fork State Park, Ohio is our first reservation, but if we have a few good days in April we may try to go to Geneva on the Lake State Park then. CAN'T WAIT!!
  • We are on our first trip now. Drove from Asheville NC to Sevierville TN Yesterday and will be here till Sunday....Got up to about 55 yesterday, hit 50 today, down in the 30's last night....supposed to get messy tonight, but Saturday and Sunday are supposed to be great...This is our "shakedown" trip since camping over Thanksgiving. Everythinh is fine:)
  • Middle of April a 4 day weekend to Maryland and the middle of May a week in the Poconos. Wife has every Friday thru Monday off and I'm going full retired the end of this month. Planning on a 4 day trip at least every three weeks, mayby every other. Half a day's drive in any direction brings us to a new area.
Planning stages for a three month trip in 2015, trans Canada Highway, west and up the Alcan to Alaska.

  • We have our first trip booked for the 18th of May. Just for 4days. The big question will be if the snow is all gone, LOL
Over the years we have had a variety of weather, anything from snow to 29C.
As long as the snow is gone so shall we.

My first trip is going to be my usual visit to CAMP BACKYARD. This is where I do my initial checkout from the long winter sleep and make sure all systems are GO. This is also when I move things back to the OFF-ROAD trailer that was moved to the house...

Batteries get the first complete checkouts...

I have a couple of mods I need to do as well...

Will spend at least a couple of nights in CAMP BACKYARD...
