Anyone out there adhere to the "new rig every six year rule?

Roll over the payment? Depreciation is bad enough on a new rig. I don't have that kind of money to throw away. Bad financial advice, well, for most of us anyway. The rig I have now suits us so nicely that unless something happens that I have to replace it I am going to keep it until it falls apart.
