No...I did not drill new holes but the removal of the old ones was time consuming as the screw that doubles as the wire connection and the expansion of the well nut's rubber seal was so deterioted that removal was a challange. Worst that happened was one fell into the tank after wresling with it for some time and the collar of the wellnut disintergrated. I did the job by removing the tank but that is not the only option if you can access everything without doing so.
