Anyone using a Curt Tru Track WDH?

I watched a video about one today and it looked interesting in that it was a completely different approach to sway control. In my experience Curt usually makes good products so I'm assuming they tested the idea before marketing it. It uses ball bearings in detents to hold the trailer straight. The weight distributing part is standard stuff. I don't know how new they are but there isn't much for reviews or comparisons that I could find. Price wise they are less than the Equalizer or Reese SC but more than the Fastway E2.

  • I think the cam on the head end of the trunnion bar is different from the Equalizer. Not needing Equalizers special socket or special ball is a plus on installation.

Pretty similar to Reese SC, also.

  • So far what I have learned is that Curt only released this hitch earlier this year. Their press release is dated March 2015. I talked to a Curt dealer that is a hitch shop for Reese, Curt, Draw -Tite and he was pretty impressed. He only had his display model and had not installed any yet to get feedback.
  • I tried the "search " also and didn't really find anything for the Tru Track. "Curt" sure makes a lot of post though.
I agree it appears to be made for a small to mid size trailer.
  • Does look interesting...but I can't find any thing about a model that will handle more than 1000 lbs of tongue weight.
    Many of us have more.
