Hello,I am thinking of getting a portable diesel generator to place on our luggage rack (Hevy duty) behind our Class C to power the electric and AC while driving. No mention of noise level that I could see and a weight of 379 pounds makes me say no way

It is on wheels, so you might be able to get it on your luggage rack... but it may be nearing load capacities, especially with most hitches having a 500 pound tongue weight at most... and 379 pounds may be empty, so factor another 100 pounds for the fuel.With no noise level specs, so I'm guessing this thing is going to be extremely loud... loud enough that even the owner may not be able to sleep with it on, much less anyone in a half mile radius.Only way I could see using it is if I put it on a cargo trailer, then either dug a pit so the generator is halfway in or sandbagged it. Both are good enough for US servicemen with their diesels. However, not many places allow that to be done.

Keep in mind Apollo is a China made product. The name Apollo has no meaning other than a tag on a machine. Parts and service maybe impossible to obtain and quality is a question mark.Remember you do not get something for nothing.Anchors Away

Is save the cash up and buy a Honda E2000 IMHO. It will do most everything you need to... And you can add a second generated in the future in order to hook them up together and run your AC etc etc.
