Are All Undercoats Created Equal?

We have purchased a 2018 Ford Escape and want to do the undercoating ourselves. There are many suppliers of the product for a do it yourselfer. Looking for the best product for the money. What is your experience with any of what is available?

    A long time ago manufacturers quit recommending undercoating because it tends to loosen and then trap moisture, thereby actually resulting in more corrosion.
    If you do it, get it done when it's brand new.
    Another choice to protect it is a electronic system that employs an anode.
