There is so many hides that are on private property and mostly I assume without permission. Especially those light post hides. How many of them have actually sought permission from the people who own the land?

I'm a fair weather geo-cacher. Hubby isn't into it so I don't do it a lot. I do have a handful of hides in my hometown along a hike/bike trail. The trail starts in town, runs along a lake shore and out to a Corp campground. I had to get permission from the Corp of Engineers but they were really good about it at the local office.

If you're ever near Alma, Nebraska I recommend staying at the Methodist Cove campground and walking the trail into town to catch a couple caches.

Another geocacher here. As the name intimates, we are both geocachers and mountain bikers. We go by spindig. Have been doing so for a long time and lOVE IT. Have fun.

Nothing is better than finding a well thought out micro or nano in a high muggle area. Anyone can find an ammo can hidden in the woods or desert.

An easy day today, only 34 finds.

We've become quite anti-micro over the years just for that reason. We have 44 hides; the vast majority are small or regular. If we dislike finding them, we certainly dislike hiding them!

If you are a premium member, you can exclude micros when you run your pocket queries. It's a lot more fun when there are no micros displayed on your device.

I was about to say that. But even if you are not a premium member, if you see the cache is listed as a micro, then you move on to the next one if that's not your thing. When we started caching, we were living in Massachusetts. Up there, there is a lot of public land for outdoor recreation and a lot of great places to hide normal sized caches. But since living here in North Carolina, there is not as much type of places. Or at least in the Charlotte area. I mean there are some, but not like it was up in ma.

We are looking forward to spring and being able to get out more and away from our area.

Been caching foe several years. The Caching Crew, 2800+ finds. Not been very active lately do to "issues", but looking forward to getting back out there this summer. Have a couple of parks on the camping list that have a stash of unfound to us caches.

We started doing caching around 8 years ago. We did most of our caches in those early years, and have only done a few handfuls in recent years. We enjoyed discovering new places that are local to us but we never knew about.
