Hi all, I am new to this group. I will be traveling through Atlanta on a Saturday. I am having a bit of anxiety about this and hoping some well seasoned travelers can help. Should I go straight through on I75 or should I take 285, east or west around Atlanta?
On a Saturday I would probabably just stay on 75. Time of day matters. Sometimes switching from one interstate to another around Atlanta can be very tricky.
On Google Maps you can play around with the date and times you plan to travel and it will provide typical expected drive times. Of course, anything can happen on a given day and time, but it is useful.
It once took me 4 hours to get from I75 south of Atlanta to I20 east. The 4 hours was just time spent on 285 which was a short stretch.
