I recently had mine replaced, and I was surprised at how hard it was to turn the almost-seized motor rotor. I believe there's just sleeves in there, not bearings.
Just is correct, no bearings in these motors, just sleeves.
If they had real bearings they'd never wear out.
they are babbit sleeve bearings that wick oil when running for the shaft to run on a film of oil. if the oil gets depleted or contaminated the shaft rubs against the dry bearing ruining both shaft and bearing.
if properly taken care of sleeve bearing are quieter and will last much longer than a ball bearing.
