I had a single with two tanks on my pop-up. Had to use a wrench to change bottles. PITN. Bottle ran out and by the time I knew it the furnace fan blowing cold air for hours had killed the battery. Then I had propane and no battery to run the furnace. I fully embrace the automatic regulator.
Only trouble I had was camped in 10F and checked for low propane late in the day to find out the propane supply was closed for the night. We still made it through and filled in the morning.
