average age of rver

I am taking a poll of the average age of an travelor rver.
What is the average age of someone towing a travel trailer?

How long on the road?

Thank you for your responses.

    Everybody here is above average.

Having been to a few RV.Net member rallies, I must agree that there is a friendly group here!

I am about 50, and been Rving since I was 21 with MY RV, but I guess when I was 2 my dad bought a stepvan that someone had converted from a bread truck into a RV with bunks and such.

So the post above where the couple is now in their 50' and kids started RVing when born, their average age is much younger than me. I guess you could say I have been going out in a RV for about 50 years. Even when I was 1, my dad was building a kit cabin at Mt. Palomar. It is still there.

    Many years of fun!

We quit smoking in 1990 and the best advice we were ever given was to find a new hobby. We decided that travel seemed like a good idea so we purchased a small TT. We are still smoke free (best decision of our lives) and moved up to a 31' 5er. I'm 67 and my DH is 69.

You'll likely add 25 years to your life by quitting smoking!
congrats on the best decision of your life!
  • 48, DW is 45. On our 6th RV. Started with a tent in 95, pop up in 98. First child 98, second child 04. Been rving and moving up to present day fifth wheel ever since. Hope to full time some day.

  • I am 35, been RVing for 4 years.

I do a survey, every time I am at a campground. As far as I can tell, I am more than a few years younger than the average RVer. I will say though, it does't seem to matter one bit. I have met some amazing people over the few years I have been doing this.

  • Started with a small MH when we were in our 30s, still RVing 30+ years later. :)
