First, I'd ask how much the difference actually is over other years? They say "the youngest it has ever been", but is that by one year, five years, 15 years, etc.? If prior years it was 48, then big whoop.
Second, my suspicion is that there are two types of RV buyers - those that want to camp and those that want to travel. I think the travelers are becoming more and more common, so RV ownership is up as a whole. Also, I think many of the younger campers are going straight to an RV rather than starting out with tent camping first. Younger folks are buying bigger ticket "toys" much more than prior generations did. So, it would make sense that the age is dropping on average.
