I like to use my Care Free sun blocker when I have to face the afternoon sun, also the Side Blocker for when the sun moves to the side.
It slips into the groove in the awning roller and can be put up or down fairly easy,I didn't like the stakes and line to hold the corners down in windy conditions so I take along empty gallon water or soap bottles and fill with sand or water and use Ball Bungee cords to attach to the corners,if I put the awning out patio style I attach it to the legs with the Ball Bungees.
Still get the breeze and does not cut down the view that much,camping on south facing beaches here it really comes in handy.
