Amazing...technology is turning us into wimps.
I grew up believing that if you can't back it you shouldn't be pulling it.
Exactly why I went with a MH. I love watching newbies back a tt, FW, or pop up into a tight spot. I'd try to help them but it would ruin the fun. Plus I would not be much help anyway.
I can back up a trailer in my sleep. 20ish years pulling boats where it got launched several times a week...
Guy I bought my Travel Trailer from offered to deliver it after we discovered a title issue that had to be cleared up. I'm telling him where to put it in my drive way. He's struggling to get the trailer correctly orientated. I'm facing backwards and tell him to turn the wheel in the wrong direction. I was so used to facing forward and instinctively knew which way to turn the wheel, never dawned me standing there that I had to reverse my directions :)
IDK, this technology would do nothing for me, but maybe the wife could use it to back up.
We have parallel parking feature on her car. It's freaking amazing to watch it work. I can also parallel park with no issues and would not let my daughters take their driving test until they could parallel park. My oldest was so impressive, that the testing person and i both walked around the car looking at the absolute perfection... but i digress :) That feature does work well.
