There is nothing worse that back pain as it is so hard to treat. My daughter also has herniated disc. She was told by her Physical Therapist that surgery only works about a 3d of the time so she decided not to go that route. Instead she went to a Pain Management doctor who specialized only in treating pain, and she is doing much better. Massage, walking, yoga also helped her a great deal.
