- fj12ryderExplorer IIIAt almost $200 for one Rotochok I don't think they'll be too busy. I have them and love them, but I'd never pay that to replace one if it broke. They're good, but they ain't that good!!
- hawkeye-08Explorer IIIRoto Chock is not taking orders until Sept according to their website.
Wheel chocks are great, I chose to make mine out of readi-rod (threaded rod) and 4x4. Cheap and easy. Work well. - sunofabeachExploreri'm fairly sure that the fastway is just an easy wheel chock whereas the Bal X-chock is designed to help trailer movement when parked.
- fj12ryderExplorer IIII have Rotochoks but they must have raised the prices dramatically. I know there is no way that I would ever have paid almost $200 each. It seems like they were around $80 each and I thought that was pretty high.
I think they are pricing themselves out of the market. - rseymour21ExplorerRoto Chocks seem a tad expensive to me. 189 a piece and I think you'd need two! Correct? Are they really worth the extra money?
- Nutinelse2doExplorerHi. Learn not to take anything personally, or you will never come back! :B
There really is some good info on this forum and a lot of people like to help.
Just develop a thick skin before you ask. And actually, a lot of people will
make comments to entice you into opening yourself to other options you may
not have previously considered.
That being said, Roto Chocks rock!
P.S. Try not to get into a pi$$ing match with senior members... You will lose.
If you don't like someone's comment, just ignore it.
C - LakejumperExplorerI haven't used either one but do use the Rotochocks and still get some bouncing when people move around the RV. Stabilizers have worked the best but the chocks also help. Keep asking the questions even though some folks' response may seem negative. There are lots of helpful people and some who may have firsthand experience with what you are asking.
- BubbaChrisExplorerJust got my Fastway and I'm really happy with it.
However, I did not purchase it to deal with the movement inside the trailer. In my case I wanted reliable chock action more than anything else.
I think the bounce I'm getting inside my TT is mostly the frame flexing and the suspension allowing that up/down movement. If I decide to eliminate it I'd either go for the classic screw jacks supporting the frame near my tires or a "Universal RV Stabilizer" - gregrc75ExplorerI have both. I use the one step in the driveway at home. I use the x-chock when camping. I think the x- chock holds the trailer a bit firmer but I agree, the one step is much easier!
- gunsablazenExplorerI ask because I am new and am seeking some advice. Why have this forum if I can't ask? Why do you reply if only to belittle a question?....not so sure that this forum is as friendly as I thought. But hey, I guess it is my fault for being naive about asking questions on a public forum.
