Up north, wife's Relatives around the lakes can't keep shrubbery or flowers. Winters are hard and they come from way across the lakes to get what there is.
At Military Burial ground, in Michigan, the deer and other critters wait in the tee line for everyone to leave. They come out and eat the flowers, all, of them. When they hear the rifle salute, they know dinner is not far off. Usually tw or more funerals a day.
They use to post on the board about it and what not to leave.
I put out forty pounds or so of corn for the turkeys and it is all gone by the next morning usually.
If you feed them, they will come. The hot sauce or cayane pepper is a good idea.
