My brother always sweared that his dogs did not bark when he left them. We camp together ocasionally. When he leaves the dogs and we stay behind they bark. He claims it is because they know we are there. I explained to him that we have been out on the bikes and hear them long before we get back to the site. He still doesn't believe it.
We as siblings probably have one of the best relationships ever. Both are in their 50's and never have had an argument that lasted over 30 minutes yet I can't convince him that his dogs are a nuisance to others. Dogs are like children, if the parents don't want to see their little ones in a negative light, no one is going to convince them otherwise.
