You'll get all kinds of responses to that question, as members here have many different types and brands. What size of trailer do you have?
Equalizer is a common one, they have bars. You'll also see Blue Ox, which has chains. Both have built-in sway control. On the other hand, my trailer, which is being traded, had the basic L-shaped bars that connect to the frame with chains, and an anti-sway bar. It served me well for six years.
My new trailer (8250 GVWR) will come with a Husky Center-Line, which uses bars.
