I forgot to mention they won't have a generator, but they also will not be running their residential fridge. They were thinking they would either just wait till we reached our destination to buy food, OR they would store some food in their small outside kitchen fridge. Are those typically just 110, or are they 2-way and run on propane as well?
Outside kitchen fridges are just 120 vac dorm fridges. As for the batteries and whether they will last through a night of Cracker Barrel "camping" it all comes down to what they are, how many, and what their total draw may be. Without this info no one here can even guess as to whether they'll make it through the night without a genset to fall back on, or not.
All they will be doing is sleeping and using the bathroom in their camper, with minimal LED lighting. They won't even be using their water pump the first couple nights because they will still be winterized. Once we get far enough south we'll be in a campground for a night and they can recharge, but I think that will be the third night. I'm just concerned about keeping their furnace running enough to keep them from freezing.
Any evening time will be spent in ours for eating, playing cards, etc.
