Battery disconnect switches

I used a knob style switch that came with my Cool Tech wire harness but discovered that it would corrode and fail to make a good connection with the battery. Replaced it with a sealed switch that I got at AutoZone and haven't had problems since.

I use these four position BLUE SEA Marine sealed Battery switches... This will give you OFF-BAT1-BOTH-BAT2 then back to OFF again...

The open knife switch looks pretty dangerous to me. Might drop a screwdriver across and blow some fuses somewhere...

NOTE: I see the other post is referring to your TOAD Battery system. My comments are more related to a Battery setup system for using multiple batteries etc... Disregard if that is why your asking questions about the different battery disconnect switches...

I would check to see what you really need to disconnect in the toad. If only one or two fuses get the disconnect assembly from Roadmaster. You would then just turn off what is necessary. Turning off all electric could cause issues with EDM or auxiliary brake control if equipped.
What make year and model of toad?
