BBQ/Grill-Propane or Electric

I have always used a propane BBQ. I have a line going from my MH propane tank to the side of my MH, so all I need to do is to plug my BBQ in, no bottles to deal with. This morning I noticed I also have an electrical outlet close to the BBQ outlet. The thought then occurred to me that maybe I should replace my propane BBQ with an electric grill. I use my BBQ for steaks, burgers and vegetables. What are your thoughts? What am I missing?
  • I would 100% agree except that I ran into several places out west this past summer that would not allow charcoal grills due to fire restrictions. That's why I carry both.

You could have stopped after number 1.
  • What 'downtheroad' said, except insert the word 'very' in front of 'distant'.

  • In your shoes, I would stick with the propane unit in case of dry camping or stopping for lunch at a rest area. Picnicking to the drone of a generator isn't quite so enjoyable as picnicking in (comparative) silence.

  • I would use the plug for an electric rotisserie attachment.
  • The propane supply from your camper has already been reduced at your trailer bottles. If you have a regulator on your grill you probably need to remove or bypass it.

We carry a replacement Weber grill and just place it over the tire rim many places use for fire pits. We also carry a Coghlan's Tri-Pod Grill and Lantern Hanger which is cheap, works as advertised and actually fits back in it's box for storage. Sometimes I'll swap the larger weber grill for the smaller one that comes with it so I can cook 3 racks of ribs at one time.
