I must admit, the kids were loud, but they were having a great time. I just don't get the screaming. The main culprits' parent were not camped more than 20 feet away. But when you have 35-40 kids all yelling/screaming it's a bit overwhelming. I can tell you that our TC is well insulated.
Being so crowded we had the opportunity to watch family dynamics. There's a lot of dysfunction. The screamers would run back to their tent laughing and immediately be sent back to the playground and they would be crying. So sad.
On the flip side, there were families enjoying each other's company. That's what makes RVing a family legacy.
All in all, the trip was great. We learned a few more things. BTW, we DID have a reservation, so we had weighed the option of accepting or putting off the trip. We just didn't realize how close the areas were. The map was misleading. Maybe we just looked at it through rose colored glasses.
We'll choose better next time. It's a beautiful area that is set up for bikers, hikers, walkers, canoeing, kayaking.
I don't want you to think we were miserable or complainers. These were observations made from this single trip. We rarely camp in crowded city CGs. We're spoiled with small out of the way county and state CGs where there are only a few of us.
