- Jebby14Explorer60 a pop is the standard here
- bobsallyhExplorer IIBOB213, I kind of doubt that would include the seal but if it did, that is a heck of a price. Also I would have to figure in how many brown bottles it saved me!
- bob213ExplorerI was at Discount Tire the other day and was quoted $25 per wheel for a repack. Don't know if that included a new grease seal, but at that price it almost makes me think twice about doing it myself.
- Jebby14Explorerid love to dump it on somebody else but I cant justify the cost of labour

X2. That is just what I do as well. I don't feel the urge to get into nearly as much "self maintenance" as I used to. - portscannerExplorerI used to get all four wheels done in an afternoon.
I take it over to my favorite trailer service place at lunch, drop it off and pick it back up before dinner. - MFLNomad IIIf I could do mine in 2 hours, 30 minutes per wheel, including getting everything ready/putting away after, I'd gladly do it every year.
I have to say, I am way too fussy, in my cleaning, inspections, and adjustments. I can't say exactly, but if I did one side before lunch, I'd be happy to do the other side, and get things put away before dinner.
Getting older, everything takes longer,
Jerry - Jebby14Explorerokie dokie. im not far off was just curious how slow I am hahaha
- RVcircusExplorer IIGetting the trailer off the ground I think is the most time consuming part. We lifted the trailer last year, so I need to go an extra 6 inches to get the tires off the ground. Once it's in the air I agree on the 30 mins per wheel time to do the bearings and check the brakes.
- jfkmkExplorerI agree, it takes about 30 minutes per wheel. Includes removing the wheel, drum, seal, cleaning and repacking the bearing, brake inspection, cleaning and adjustment, and reinstalling everything.
