He pounds with it and bangs it on cement and everything trying to break it. If you tanks have room for expansion you should be fine. I really doubt that they will freeze solid in that time period.
Know exactly where your at. I've been there when it was -20 below with a open basement rig and didn't break any of the plumbing.
