The worst investment I ever made was a wheeled tote tank but on the upside it didn't take me long to figure out all the disadvantages, sell it for not too much of a loss to another unsuspecting RVr who also thought he needed one, and put the proceeds towards a FloJet Waste Macerator. That was 10 yrs ago and for the life of me I don't understand why so many still fool with a stinky slinky and tote tank when a waste macerator makes the job so much easier, and cleaner. :B I use mine primarily for servicing the trailer tanks once we're home from a trip but if need be I can pump macerated waste water while camping into portable containers sitting in the back of the truck. No tote tank for me - I instead use inexpensive 7 gal Aquatainers, labeled for waste water use only ... at just 60 lbs full I can lower each container from the tailgate to the dump station waste inlet with little effort, even at my age. They're easy to empty fully, easy to flush out, easy to store in my garage between trips. Pics are in my gallery for those also so inclined to avoid the dreaded tote tank blues. :W
