- bid_timeNomad IIThose woven polyethylene type rugs from Camping World, etc. are the best. Well worth the money. Once you use one, you'll never go back to outdoor carpet. And besides that, they are more grass friendly (won't kill the grass).
- RoyBExplorer IIMost of our camping is OFF-ROAD back in the woods somewhere. The small leaves get tracked inside alot for us...
I got my OUTDOOR PATIO RUG from LOWES 9X12 size I think it is...
We also have a aisle rug feeding the patio rug. Every little bit helps...
I also have one of those folding steps from Camping World.. This has the grate on top of it and you can really stomp your feet before entering the trailer. My trailer really needs the third step being high up off the ground with the 15-inch wheels but having the folding legs makes this great to just put it flat on the ground to stomp on.
Roy ken - Dick_BExplorerWe don't use rugs of of respect for the grass but we have rug `wraps' on the three steps and take our shoes off at the door.

We lay out a long roll of outdoor carpeting on our gravel pad, then a pallet covered with AstroTurf, a small rug on top of that and another just inside the door, and I'm still sweeping out pebbles and pine needles! We have no dogs or little kids either.

The only solution is take your shoes off as mentioned above.
What we do after our long summer road trips (5,000 t0 8,000 miles) is to do an occasional sweeping or a quick vacuum when traveling. Then I do a thorough shampooing of the rug when we get home. Done that for fourteen years now and we still are using the original rug. - Ron3rdExplorer IIIWe have the woven poly mats that you see everywhere. They work fine.
- HappyKayakersExplorer IIIYou could just take your shoes off on the steps.
