I think internet searching and making some phone calls will find you the best price. Or do you want someone else to do that for you?
So you've never asked a question on here for personal experience vs Google? BS!!
Actually I have. When I had an electrical problem with my camper, I asked for other's suggestions on what to check. That was after I spent many $$$$$ and hours trying to resolve the issue myself.
That is entirely different than just posting on here asking someone else to research and find the best price for them, when they can do it themselves. Too many people spend no time researching anything themselves and just ask on here what to do. You and I have read many posts that ask:
1. What do I need to enter into Canada?
2. How do I break in my new truck?
3. Can I take my dog into Mexico?
4. Does a certain campground allow campfires?
5. Does a certain national park have a campground?
You get the idea and know I am right, even if you will not admit it.
You just don't get it do you? Sure, you can google it and make a few phone calls but what you don't get is the experience of previous customers. RVers and campers are probably one of the biggest purchasers and users of portable generators. Generally you'd get pros and cons for the companies they bought from, especially negative experiences.
Your list of topics proves my point. Why not take advantage of folks with first hand experience that have fresh knowledge on the subject?
Why are you even on these forums if all you do is Google and call?
Since my post seemed to upset you so badly may I suggest you block me or just don't read them.
To all the rest of you guys, THANK YOU!! :C
You are assuming that every post is 100% accurate. Someone could post that a certain company had the best price, and he would buy from that company when in fact another may be cheaper. Different geographical areas may get different prices due to shipping, manufacturer's zone pricing, etc. If the OP had posted I found a certain brand and model generator at a certain price from a specified company and then asked if this was the best price, or did someone find a better price, then that would demonstrate he had researched. However, it seems to me he just wanted someone else to do the legwork for him, and assume no responsibility. That is OK with me. It is OK with me you do not agree. It is merely my thought on the subject and you clearly have another. No problem with me. To each his own. No need to get your underwear all bunched up. - Grit_dogNavigator IIYou guys could argue over whether the sky is blue or not.........every other thread on here is like a lesson on how not to act when I get old!
Idk who has the best price on new ones. Seen em on sale for $900 before but not often.
I'd look used. Think I paid $400 for mine and it still doesn't have 100 hours on it. (Looks like it lived in a goat pen for 10 years though)
Fwiw, if looking used, Honda 2000s (maybe other models too) have an hour meter and when you start them, the little green light blinks once for every hundred hours on the clock. I.e., blinks twice it has between 200 and 300 hours on it. - _DJ_1Explorer II

So What's wrong with getting the answer from someone that already did the footwork? Looks like it worked out and he got the answer he was looking for.

You missed the point entirely! It is one thing to ask where, and when you bought yours and for how much. It is entirely different to ask where to buy. That implies the OP just wants someone else to do the comparison shopping for them. - rbp111ExplorerOne other thing. They advertise in the Trailer Life magazine as having the cheapest price. That is for Motosports of Ukiah.
- Nutinelse2doExplorerWe bought ours at Overtons In 2014. Paid around $800 with a coupon/ sale/ free shipping/ no tax.
Sold it for $850 with 10 hrs on it about 5 months ago. - RockyMtExplorer IIBoy, nice person.

So how do you deal with MAP restrictions in your searches? Just google the product and make 1,000 calls. Or come on a forum where hundreds have made the same purchase and narrow down your search. Last time I checked 100% of the questions on this forum could be answered by an internet search or phone call.
