My best was in a political discussion and thus will not be explained here but I can tell you one from a friend.
He and his father were watching a sidewalk superintendent attempting to help a rookie semi driver back into a dock, was not going well. Well Father suggested he have the driver pull straight out and back straight in...

A police officer directing traffic ask Mr. Voshen (Founder of the Te-Kon and Te-Ki truck service plazzas, the two truck stops that formed the pattern for TA, Pilot, Flying-J, Loves and the like full service truck plazas) if he thought he could back the truck in.. Mr. Voshen, who spent 40 years driving semi's and still often jockeyed them to/from the pumps when it got busy.. Responded with what the Sidwwalk super said, only not so loud.. Officer ask him if he seriously thought he could do it.. He said he was willing to give it a try.
Then he did it.
I once stopped to help some folks with a jeep stuck in snow/ditch.. Well we did not have the best of luck (I had the wrong car that day)
FInally I noticed where snow had been cleared by people kicking it around and that if they turned the wheels hard to one way and backed up a bit, then turned the other way and put it in 4WD the front wheels would be on clear pavement.
The man WHAT back farther in the ditch.. (Looked at me like I was nuts,, well I do admit the nut house was on the other side of the road.. but I don't live there) The woman with them however looked at what I looked at.
Reached in the jeep and with one hand pulled the guy driving out and dumped him in a snow bank, Did exactly as I said and walked that puppy out on it's own power... Just like I predicted would happen.
What can I say.. Success is the ultimate shutdown.
