In the past I have complained about Michelins. But given time to think about it I think I was out of line.
I had a set that came on a car when I bought it. It had the sidewall cracking issue but they never lost air or had a catastrophic failure.
Second set I bought new and they rode good, not quite right but it turned out there were issues with the suspension. Fixed that and the car rode great.
Last set on my wife's old Jetta lasted till they were just worn out. My current Michelins are 1.5 years old and look like new. That's with over 20k miles on them. One doesn't hold air really well and has to be aired up every 2 weeks. This is probably related to the custom wheels and not the Michelins. I guess that I really can't complain.
They are a wear item, as they age and as they wear stuff is going to happen to them.
Thanks!
