Birds tapping at rear RV windows . . . advise please.

We were camped in early spring at Alta Lake SP in Washington State and while we were having lunch outside at the table, we noticed these tiny birds going into our refrigerator vent with straw. They were building a nest in there and we quickly discouraged that little idea with some newspaper, but they were not happy and thought they had found a great place to raise their young.
