I dread the going down the hill on the other side just as bad. You need the bigger truck for that as well. When you have to do hard braking with your pedals then its all over haha...
When we first moved here from AZ we was driving a truck pulling a car and the UHAUL truck. After 50 miles into the trip which I was drivig the UHAUAL and the wife was driving the truck pulling the car she starts yelling at me on the CB radio that she wasn't doing good fighting the jerking around form the car when being pulled. So I had to swap positions with her. She did just fine driving the big UHAUL truck.
When we got to BLACK MTN in NC she was behind me in the UHAUL truck. So I pulled over to let her go on past me. She says "why are doing that" on the CB. I said you will find out in a short time haha...
We both stayed together making it up to the top and that was the last I saw of the wife and the UHAUL TRUCK when we went over the top. She was hauling @@@ going down the other side haha...
We made it just fine.... I guess that was probably the last time for us going over the BLACK MTN. We always end up on the I81 road and going through Gatlinburg and bypassing that part of I40.
For us all roads go to Gatlingburg TN hehe... Even our Myrtle Beach trips from VA... go figure...
