I figured someone would say something about flying up the mountain or "have to go up hill as fast as they do on the flats". I never said I was even trying to do the speed limit. 55-60 is fast through there in a car IMO.
I probably could have let out of it some and let it drop to first and might have held around 25-30 but even at 35-40 I had trucks on my butt in the right lane, had quite a few pass me actually, not a good feeling when you're slowing down. I was afraid to let up. I guess I just didn't expect the HP loss from the elevation.
At least the trans never really got hot, just a tad over 200. I that didn't do it I don't know what will.
