Your truck is rated to pull 9800, your TT is rated at 9975. I'm sure it is fine on the flats, but if you pull on the hills a supercharger or newer diesel would make your towing experience much better....that is a BIG trailer @ 35.5 ft and towing with only 300hp and 360 tq.
Good thing the wife is on board, if you can afford it, go for it!

Otherwise I'd like to find my exact truck with the dmax.
I will tell you it is a lot more enjoyable to start at the bottom of a hill like that doing 25, and be doing 55+ at the top.
If you want a Dmax, look at a 2007 LBZ.
