I'm in raleigh. 03 yukon xl 1500, 6400lb trailer loaded. Right at 13k gcwr. Did 226 to spruce pine at 25 mph for 5 Miles at 14% grade. 1st gear. It all depends what you want. The thing that bothers me about my setup is that when I run 65 around even on flat lands I have no get out of the way power. It is flat at that speed. Does running up a 7% grade at 25 mph scare me, no because I do it once or maybe twice a year at most. If I did it more then I'd have a different setup. We camp 5 times out of the year. 3 within 2h. 1 mountain. 1 outer banks. The truck works hard but does just fine. We plan trips around our setup and we're okay with that. Someday that will change and I will have something else. Really looking for v10 e350 van.
