One of the probes must have something hanging on it because flushing and probe cleaner does nothing. So I was wondering if running the tank flush for a longer time would clear it....
If this is indeed the problem (something having on the probe), the remedy to correct it is easily done. Prior to traveling, empty the tank and flush it out a couple of time with plenty of water until it's clear. Then put about 5 to 10 gallons of water back into the tank and add a cup of liquid laundry detergent plus about a 1/2 cup of liquid Calgon water softener. While traveling to you next destination, the sloshing mixture should clean off the probes (and the rest of the tank) of any material stuck to them. Depending upon how much and how long the material has been stuck, this procedure may take more than one application.
We tend to stay at one place for a long period of time so the solids and TP have more of an opportunity to cause problems even tho I flush out my tank often with lots of water. However, during travel, this procedure will keep the tank clean and probes in good working order. I never use any chemicals....just soap, water softener and plain old water.
Works for me.
