How long do folks normally run their black tank flush?

1 Never tow with shtuff in the tank (only to the dump site)
2 Always add about 4 gal of water after you empty the tank.
My tank went from all lights on to none (one occasionally) by following those to simple directives. In fact I didn't use my tank flusher for one season until I was ready to winterize and gave the tank a cursory cleaning.
