I don't run it at all. My older TT didn't come with one. I see no reason to have one. My TT has the bathroom sink plumbed into the high side of black tank.
After draining the black tank I dump a couple of buckets of water down the sink.
Then I drain the gray.
Then I dump a couple of quarts of water down the gray tank.
Then I go.
No need to get it any cleaner then that. Just going to get dirty again next weekend. Been doing this for years.
I will admit that my tank sensors are not very reliable. The only one I watch is the fresh water sensor and that one works just fine.
