I had to replace the original cap that was like Bobbo's because it was cracked. Got a Cyclone - I don't know if it works better than the original - all I know is it looks really cool on my RV.

And... I can tell which way the wind is blowing.... :C

Not nitpicking just stating a fact and correcting your erroneous statement.

It is not a closed system. A closed system does not interact with other systems. An RV black tank interacts with several other systems, including your digestive system.

That might be true if you were going down the road. Most people do not dump while moving. When you are stopped to drain the tanks, the cyclone is not doing anything but normal venting.

I share beemerphile1's opinion, but if it works for you, that's what matters.

I would wager that is proof that you had and still do have a leak somewhere. The Cyclone is masking what is really wrong.

The Cyclone is an add on gizmo that is advertised to suck air from the tank which is impossible. All tanks need to be vented but they don't need (or benefit from) the Cyclone.
