15 years and never a problem. can`t say the same for some of the people that have tried the compressed air route. Some are lucky, some are not!
And therein lies the problem, anything done wrong will result in poor results.
From the manual for my m/h, "Let air flow for 5 minutes until water is completely drained out of faucets and drain valves. Then close faucets one at a time. Operate and hold toilet flush lever until water is completely drained from the toilet. Now turn air pressure off and disconnect water purge adapter."
I've seen lots of issues from using air, every single one of them was from using a compressor too small, or not letting the air run long enough.
If the air source you are using cannot maintain a MINIMUM of 30 PSI with an open faucet, you could be risking freeze damage.
