Blue Ox Patriot 2 Braking System

We are looking for a braking system for our Jeep Cherokee, that we will be dingy towing behind our motorhome. Our dealer has suggested a Blue Ox Patriot 2, since this will be our first braking system, we really need one that is very easy to use and reliable. We will also will be purchasing a Blue Ox Aventa LX tow bar. Does anyone have any experience with these products and have any knowledge on their ease of use. Thanks

    Had the Patriot (2012 version) with our recently sold RV/toad. Easy to setup and was reliable. After reading about the new improved Patriot it would be something I would buy.

    Got the Patriot II from E-trailer last Nov for $999. Works great so far after 4300 miles of towing.

    The Patriot II is a relatively new system, has enhancements beyond the original Patriot. Better electronics, wireless remote, etc. But it's $400 more list. However you can buy the original Patriot from PPL right now for $899.

    We have a Blue Ox system. I setup the car and my wife sets up the breaking system, simple. I purchased it all used on Ebay, don't remember the exact amount but way less than $1,000.
