What gemsworld said: use a 5 pin light adapter which allows the boat trailer to be pushed backwards uphill.
The trailer should also have an easy to lose wedge dealie you insert in a slot to stop the brakes from coming on when you push the trailer uphill. A wrap of elec tape keeps it from falling out.
