locked brakes
I have a 2002 Monaco Diplomat that I haven't driven for about 6 weeks Just went to get it ready for camping and the brakes seemed to be locked. Any thoughts?

As long as air is up, put in R and slowly apply pedal.
It’s happened to me 2-3 times in Fl. I had no luck in D.

only other thing is get a look under and see if the brake chambers rods are moving in the back, other thing that sometimes happens is the S cam will flip and wont release

The spring brakes engage/lock up between 20 and 45 psi, the yellow parking brake knob pops out, and the spring brakes lock up the wheels. I've not read anything that says the system must have 75 psi to open the spring brakes. In actual practice, when I'm waiting for the air to come up, as soon as the alarm tone goes off at (usually) 65 psi I can immediately release the parking brake.azdryheat wrote:
Your Diplomat is a Diesel Pusher with air brakes, correct? Are you saying the brakes are still locked up with the air pressure in the normal range?
If you don't have a MINIMUM of 75 lbs on each air tank the brakes will not release. Doug
