After arriving at the CG and getting set up yesterday, I went to pay the fee in the drop box. I noticed a paper taped to the bulletin board stating that there was a boil water alert. E-coli had been found in the water supply!:E
Luckily, we always bring our own water "just in case". However, our neighbor AND the campground host had hooked up to the CG water. Should I have said something? Is it okay to shower with?
I certainly wouldn't want to give it to my dogs or clean our fish with it. What are your opinions or knowledge on the subject?
we ran into the same thing a number of years ago at a park in NM except there was no notice taped to the bulletin board and no warning at the check-in desk. while waiting for the check-in process to be completed I started pawing through a number of attraction brochures that were piled on a table by the desk and found the e-coli warning buried beneath them. since then we never travel without a full or nearly full tank of fresh water. ya just never know.
