Add a whole in the center of the lid just big enough to get a new plunger handle through. Take that new plunger and drill some half inch holes all over the rubber part of it. Push the handle up though the lid. Add water and detergent and clothes. Snap lid on and go to work with the plunger. Just like making butter in the old days!
That's exactly what we do! But I don't have a lid...just have to be careful how much I "churn" to avoid splashing water everywhere... :D It works GREAT!
